Useful hints while searching for grant opportunities

autor: Sylwia Szparkowska

Under our running Tajikistan rural CSOs capacity building facility (thank"s to Polish-American Freedom Foundation grant and Solidarity Found grant) we’ve developed a brief guide on how to fish and chase for NGO grants in Tajikistan - please find it attached to this post.

Representatives of NGOs, CSOs and LAs can be additionally interested in a cycle of tutorials on the general project design. The open source lectures are available at http://fixkairouan.org/fund.php (“materials”).

Meanwhile, the Georgian stakeholders can find useful information on up-coming grant opportunities  at http://projectsincubator.org/  -  see more under the section “grants competitions”. Our foundation was involved in the content/merit development of this simple tool, under the project implemented by the E-misja Association http://www.e-misja.org.pl/

Still, it’s just the very early stage of our work in the field. In 2014 we’ll aim to expand the grants" calls aggregator, turning it into fully-fledged grants" and fundraising opportunities search engine. Thanks to the grant of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs by the end of August 2014 we’ll put into operation an interactive, e-tool, initially focused on rural local authorities international cooperation opportunities.

Follow us on Facebook: a good deal of the calls & opportunities are open for NGOs/CSOs too, while some literally require or entail a cooperation between NGOs and local authorities, in implementation of the project.

In beginning of September 2014, along with our Polish partner - the Association of Rural Municipalities from Podlasie http://www.zgwwp.org.pl/, we will make an international promotion for the e-tool.
